Albert Lee is a musician’s musician, and a man whom Eric Clapton has proclaimed as “The Greatest Guitarist in The World”. In addition to his numerous solo projects Albert Lee has lent his live and recorded talents to countless artists over his long and storied career including other mega stars such as Jerry Lee Lewis, The Everly Brothers, and Emy Lou Harris. Notably, Albert Lee was the “other guitar” in Eric Clapton’s band for five years.
Revered and respected worldwide by scores of guitar players for his precise, articulate, yet fluid signature hybrid picking style, Albert Lee can deliver melodic tempo from slow emotional soulful to lighting fast rock & roll to foot stomping country through his seamless and seemingly effortless command of the fret board and right hand pyrotechnics all without the aid of many special effects or pedals. Between his guitar, his amp, and his whammy bar, Albert Lee has more than enough musical magic to create most any sound he needs. And he truly is a musical magician.
On tour promoting his new album, “Lay It Down”, Albert Lee and his band have graciously agreed to take the stage at Carmel-by-the-Sea’s hidden gem, the newly renovated and state of the art Founders Theatre in the Golden Bough Playhouse on Wednesday, April 29th, 2026. Show time at 7:30.

Venue Information
To make your theater going experience more pleasant, we encourage you to arrive early and to please bear in mind the following:
- Monday's performance begins at 7:30 PM, with seating beginning 30 minutes prior to show time. Street parking is available.
- Concessions will be on sale.
- Service animals are welcome at the venue.
- Parking is recommended on Monte Verde and surrounding streets.
- There are no refunds once tickets are purchased. With the exception of Flexpass holders, ticket exchanges will incur a per ticket fee of $3.00.
Directions
From HWY 1 take the Ocean Avenue exit and proceed down Ocean Ave. through downtown Carmel. Turn left on Monte Verde Street (7th Stop Sign from Hwy) and continue for 3 blocks. The Golden Bough Playhouse is on the westside of Monte Verde Street, between 8th and 9th Avenues.
