July 5 – July 21, 2024, at the Outdoor Forest Theater

9 to 5 The Musical, with music and lyrics by Dolly Parton and book by Patricia Resnick, is based on the seminal 1980 hit movie. Set in the late 1970s, this hilarious story of friendship and revenge in the Rolodex era is outrageous, thought-provoking and even a little romantic.

Pushed to the boiling point, three female coworkers concoct a plan to get even with the sexist, egotistical, lying, hypocritical bigot they call their boss. In a hilarious turn of events, Violet (Lara Devlin), Judy (Lydia Lyons) and Doralee (Niki Moon) live out their wildest fantasy – giving their boss, Franklin Hart (John Farmanesh Bocca) the boot! While Hart remains "otherwise engaged," the women give their workplace a dream makeover, taking control of the company that had always kept them down. Hey, a girl can scheme, can't she?

This show contains language and moments that may not be appropriate for younger audiences: parents may want to read a synopsis or watch the movie before deciding to bring young kids. Scenes depict sexual harassment, adult situations and some adult language. No infants or toddlers will be admitted.

Mark your calendars for this entertaining experience as 9 to 5, The Musical graces the Outdoor Forest Theater stage.
The musical runs Wednesday through Saturday at 7:30 pm, and Sunday at 4:00 pm, from July 5 through July 21.
