Pacific Repertory Theatre... Supporting our Environment

Through the years, PacRep has recognized the importance of working toward a greener environment. With that intent, the organization has completed big steps toward eliminating its impact on the environment.

In 2015, the Golden Bough Playhouse was transformed into an environmentally friendly and self-sustaining home for cultural entertainment and arts education for years to come. Possessing one of the largest southern facing rooftops in Carmel, the playhouse has proved ideal for solar power generation, providing a clean power source, while eliminating its carbon footprint.

In 2016, PacRep invested in rechargeable microphones for its performers, eliminating the use of throw-away batteries.

In 2019, the company kicked-off its next "green" project, eliminating plastics from its concession and refreshment operations. In the upcoming remodel, scheduled for completion in summer of 2024, water refill stations will be installed.
