“Sexual jealousy, envy, misplaced pride and prejudice—this riveting tragedy smolders with timeless issues.”
by William Shakespeare
October 1 – October 18
Outdoor Forest Theater
Directed by Ken Kelleher
Othello, the brilliant general, is admired and envied by his men and passionately in love with his beautiful wife. But when he promotes the highborn Cassio over Iago, the die is cast. Enraged, Iago stealthily goes for the kill—lying, manipulating and finally convincing Othello that Desdemona has been unfaithful. Prescient in its searing social commentary of prejudice, betrayal, and thwarted ambition, Shakespeare’s thunderous drama examines who we trust and the price we pay for choosing wrong.
